Formoz Fest.
Here's an extra special Edition for the dedicated army of Anza fans who visit this Blog. Marty from Pacifiction Records was at the HPP show at Taipei Taiwan and sent me this report. Be sure to write Anza and the guys to congratulate them on ground breaking show!
*EDIT*
The pic is from the HPP photo page.

Hey Matt!
Just writing to let you know HPP's show in Taiwan was a success!
They showed up on the island as a complete unknown band and they managed to have an audience of about 50 people even while other stages had major bands playing at the same time! Not only that, but the Taiwanese kids really got into the heaviness of the rock and the emotion in ANZA'a performance.
Let's have a big OSTUKARE SAMA DESU!
Thanks Matt for the support!
Regards,
Marty Radical

Here I am in the early morning at 4:40 AM.
At last, my suitcase has finally been sent out. (laugh) The hard part for me is over having passed inspection safely...
I guess I'm ready to see how the other members fare. It seems that Hiro and Mar have come through with flying colors. As for Narumi, he's set to finish, but I have to call out to him to let him know where we're at. (laugh) Batch breezed through a long time ago.
Man! Now I'm sleepy. My eyes are wanting to shut on their own.
Anyhow, we still have to manage the passport inspection. I wonder how that will go?(laugh)
I'll sleep. ( can I manage my check list in this chair??)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I need to go back and edit some of this. At least I'm not alone when it comes to making mistakes with translations. It happens to the other guys as well. When there are no easy action words, it's easy to misunderstand the point that's being made. I'll tweek this a bit later, if I get the chance.
Anza JP & HPP Blog, Thur. 7/26/07
The humidity has jumped up and it's really muggy!
Even though the end of the rainy season is still far away, I'd like to see it soon....
Recently, we finished the rehearsal for the live, Thank God!
And, we tried a new mix on one of the new tunes to make it sound better.
This week, we're headed to Taiwan on the 28th. This is for the HPP stage appearance and concert.
This is my first trip to Taiwan and I'm feeling a little insecure, but this is worth doing and I'm looking forward to it!
I'm filling up on my delicious noodles one last time before I go.
In the photo, I'm introducing my favorite decorative plant. I'm not sure what it's called. Sorry. But I thought I'd show it anyway. (laugh)
I'm feeling good and I'm ready to go!!
HPP Blog
Love to meet!
First of all, it has really gotten hot. With the moisture and humidity so high, it has done it's best to sap my strength. So, even though I'm plodding along, I get to where I'm going. (laugh)
This week I'm off to Taiwan to do our first live show. My heart is pounding and I can't wait for my chance to perform.
But still...there's the excitement of getting the HPP baggage on the plane before take-off. I hope we're not unprepared and I'm up to the task. (laughing)
We'll just have to see how it goes this time.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was looking at Anza's plant and it looks like a type of fern.
If you missed Anza's blog about the trip to Sweden, then you missed her entry of the trouble getting out of Tokyo airport. It seems that the airline claimed the HPP baggage was over the weight limit for the flight and they wanted to charge Anza another ticket price to haul the equipment.
Anza, being the frugal girl she is, told them it wasn't over the limit and refused to buy an extra ticket. After a they weighed the baggage a second time, they determined that everything was within the limits and let them board. They just barely made it in time for the flight to Sweden.

Recently, I've been using make up for work and I've started trying various techniques more.
So, for the first time, I've risen to the challenge to try "gosu" make-up.
Well, it's not supposed to frighten you (laughter)
I used more make up like this going out in my delinquent youth. Just Kidding! (laugh)
Still, make up is a valuable tool to help you look younger.
As a woman, I'd like to stay beautiful forever. "Is that true", you may ask, But, it's what I really wish!!
In regular life it's not bad to be plain. But, with a job like mine, it's hard to say... don't you agree?
Now that the evening hours are here, it's time to work on some tunes.
Later, I'll give in to my nature and get a full night's sleep!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This entry kinda reminds me of the Mott the Hoople line,
"You gotta stay young, man...
you can never grow old"
in the song, "All the way to Memphis"
Love her make-up in the pic. Anza looks hot!
I finally went!
To my Nikko Edo Village which I totally love!!!!!!! http://www.city.nikko.lg.jp/fl/index.html
I reached the end of my rope a long time ago.
So, it's been a sad half a year that I wasn't able to make the trip....
It's quite a distance to travel (seriously)!!
Yup, of course, I got to meet the actor I respect and admire Ken Hasegawa. And there's more. I also met Mr. Kono Saturo!!!
I'm afraid to say, but the unexpected rain caused them to stop the outdoor musical program.
But now I have a good reason to go and see the show again!!
Well, as expected, Nikko Edo Village is a splendid place to be. With the nature surrounding Edo, it's the best place to watch a drama.
This town is the one I treasure the most.
So, everyone come here without fail to Nikko Edo Village to see the play. Watch the spontaneous and and wonderful actor who's performance is hot!!! Do it for me.
Today I decided to upload a photograph.!! My fans have been wanting to see me (laughter)
And then on TV, I heard about the Niigata earthquake. It's a beautiful thing when we hear of others problems and then lend a hand to help out. I'm a fan of those who offer their support. It's a big worry when we don't care.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I had some help with this entry from Akira. She told me that the name of the town is Nikko Edo Village. I think I found a link to their website and posted it. It's about a two hour bullet train ride from Tokyo.
Akira also say the guy with Anza in the pic is probably Ken Hasegawa.

*There was lots and lots and lots of rain*
My whole body is stiff and sore!!!!!
It's inevitable that after a live show I feel like that!
Everything is starting to settle down now that the Typhoon has passed.
I actually saw the sun today after a long time....
The laundry is piling up again, I've been reluctant to do it and it's starting to get the best of me.
It seems like things haven't been going my way recently, but I still feel like good things are headed my way!!
Soon, I'll go and jump into my bed, I hear it calling me!
I'm as excited as if I were going on a pleasure cruise. (laughing)
HPP Blog
Oh!
Is everyone doing fine? To the fans who came to the lower Kitazawa Mosaic Show on Saturday the 14th, Thank you very much!
With the rain coming down because of the influence of the Typhoon, we were worried that us and everyone else would get home safely...
Well, the warm feeling from the Solo show has gone in the blink of an eye.
Still, doing a live show is a great feeling!!!!
We're sorry, but it will be a while before we do another live in Tokyo!!!
Right now, I'm concentrating on recording the Album!!!
That being said, next is the Mito live and the Taiwan music Festival. Can I manage?? (laugh)
I think with my sore muscles, I'll just head off to bed. (laugh)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Anza does put on a lively show. She doesn't hold anything back.
*Edit*
After reading comments by Mar and Marina Kuroki, I decided tha Anza was talking about the typhoon in her blog title, and not the stiffness from performing at the live show. It seems that Tokyo got a real blow from this and it was raining hard at the HPP live at Mosaic. I have a comment from Mar, the HPP Guitar player that he posted on mixi about the show.
This is just google translated, but it let's you know how it was.
[HEADPHONES PRESIDENT] topic 2007 July 16th 00:17 mosaic end! Everyone in at that typhoon of MAR@HPP going lively thank you truly!! For a while, it is not live inside capital, however it is, don't you think? ahead this please come to play lively, this following live of the ♪ in Taiwan becomes live!
Damp & Humid
The humidity is too much to put up with!!!!!!!!
It's the worst enemy for damaging you hair!!!
I'm envious of people who have straight hair.
Even so, I've been totally absorbed by recording with the band.
It's serious business, and I feel that we're making progress.
It seems like we should have been done quickly...
(Off in the distance) The rain is moving in, I've been wanting to go to a barbeque!!!
I hope soon my wish will come true...
HPP Blog
Alas!
The skies haven't cleared up today like I wished they would. (cry)
It seem like things aren't going too well in the city.
I wish the rain would help the water shortage.
Now days, I feel too tired to bend over and tie my shoes.
Surely I can't be that tired. (laughing)
When your cut off from pleasant things, it's easy for your perspective to become distorted.
You get mad and have nothing to take it out on.
It feels like your spitting your anger out into the recording.
But, there's a false rumor that I don't like recording.
What to be done about that...I wonder....
Anyway, how's everybody doing??
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
From what I heard on the Die Hard 4 movie clip, Anza is really putting a lot into this new album.

Right Now
It seems like this is the time of the year when bargin sales are at their peak!!
Of course, because of the time it takes to sew something for yourself, I dashed over to the Department store.
It was crowded, but I managed to snap up some cool clothes right under the noses of other shoppers. (laughing)
It gets better, I feel real happy when I find things marked off by 50%.
I tend to over do it and end up with lots of clothes stuck under my arms.
But, I got what I wanted, for sure!!!
When I was done, I was suprised at the huge number of things I ended up buying. (laugh)
This summer, the Western Style clothes are really popular and I'm happy now that I have a good selection.(smile)
I got rid of a lot of stress with this mini shopping spree!!!
I'm ready for whatever comes next!!!

Toy's Box Final
Hi. This is my first entry. (Sorry but I'm writing this on 8th July.)
About HEAD PHONES PRESIDENT's solo show... it was exciting. So amazing show.
About 7:40 pm, at Shinjuku MARZ, there was a big screen. Started the movie at their Sweden tour and offshot. That was funny movie! The live at Sweden is defferent to that of Japan because the audience is more excited.
After that the show is started. They played 15 songs includes new songs. About 2 hours but it felt the time past the fast. At the middle of playing HIRO's guiter is crushed so they played new session, but it was good too. At the number of "Alien Blood", I cried because I have th same experience to ANZA. It makes me sad.
Once they finished playing, ANZA started to speak. "Thanks for coming today. We are now in recording. Yeah we will release new CD album. It must be the greatest one so please check it out!!"
And they played 2 encole songs. The show was finished... We were excited and felt awesome.

After the live HPP members filmed the TV program "INDIES HOT LINE". And we took many pictures. (Thanks for HPP members!) I up them on my mixi album so if you're mixi member, please check it out. There are good pictures!!!
By the way about ANZA's solo activity, she will be in some musicals, "Ai, Toki wo koete(Love, across the time) ~Sekigahara ibun" and "GIFT". Especially "Ai~" is with Yoshino Keigo-san who was Enjorlas in Les Miserables so "Akira, it will great musical for you" she said. She was offered about "Miss Saigon" and "RENT" but they were canceled because of for HPP works. HPP will be busy for CD release and live tour all over the world!!

Rainy Season??
The rainfall has been very unpredictable, don't you think? (laugh)
My laundry basket is overflowing, not a good sign.
I'm a little impatient trying to finish the Album before the deadline.
We're getting the camera's and equipment set up in preparation of recording the PV video.
That's in the final stages.
It's always new territory when you're trying to create a video treasure.
Even when I feel good about it, I still have my doubts.
However, I want the video to convey my happiness, but I still want my serious experiences to come through, don't you think?
For example, the loneliness you feel when trapped in a recording booth for days. (laugh) and the pressure the day before the recording deadline (smile).
It's thrilling stuff, with lot's of chances to shine and prove yourself. For sure!
The times when I feel weak under the pressure are many.
Still, singing with HPP helps me become strong.
With out fail, the guys from the group, staff, and fan support are a real blessing to help me shine.
Now I'm waiting for the sun to go down!!
Time to do my best and get the job done.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I put a lot of thought into this one. It was a bit tricky in places. So, I hope I got it right.
Totally Pooped!
I've done the HPP Solo show, been recording the lead vocals for the new album, and I've been reading the script out loud with the cast at play practice. Which has made this a very busy week.
Today, I'm not sure what day of the week it is. With no time to spare, I've crammed a lot into one week.
But still, it's been a very fulfilling week.
Lot's of fun, don't you think? (laughing)
But, when you're tired, you have to take care of your body and revive.
At the Solo show, I was given a present by Mr. Toshi from Hokkiaido, who was in the audience.
He's a real good guy and a sweetheart for bringing me my favorite black tea.
That will surely cure my fatigue.
I've been posting the English Blog tranlations on my Myspace page and at Sera Myu .com. I thought I'd start a blog dedicated solely to Anza and her blog. Hope you enjoy.
